Mesmo com a derrota no clássico contra o Palmeiras, ontem (13), que distanciou o Timão da briga pelo título brasileiro, e a eliminação nas quartas de final da Libertadores, contra o Flamengo, na última terça-feira (9), o treinador português está resguardado pela direção corintiana.

Tudo pode mudar caso a equipe do Parque São Jorge seja desclassificada nas quartas da Copa do Brasil, nesta quarta-feira (17), contra o Atlético-GO. O clube alvinegro precisa reverter uma desvantagem de dois gols que sofreu no confronto de ida, em Goiânia, há três semanas.

Ainda assim, segundo informações colhidas pelo LANCE!, nem mesmo se o Corinthians não conseguir a remontada Vítor seria dispensado.

Internamente, o desejo da cúpula corintiana é ter VP até o fim do contrato, que se encerra em dezembro, e depois avaliar com o português uma possível continuidade para o ano que vem.

No entanto, a diretoria do Timão sabe que ficar fora da Copa do Brasil é praticamente um sinal de que a equipe não conquistará títulos nesta temporada, o que alimentará em algumas alas do clube a pressão pela demissão do técnico.

Questionado na última entrevista coletiva, após a derrota para o Palmeiras, sobre temer uma possível demissão, Vítor foi bem enfático a negar:

– Eu, nesta fase da minha vida, da minha carreira, ter medo de perder o emprego? Sabe quanto dinheiro eu tenho no banco, amigo? Eu tenho a vida estabilizada. Estou aqui no Corinthians e se não estiver no Corinthians, estou em outro clube qualquer. E quando eu quiser – disse VP.

Próximo de completar seis meses de Corinthians – o que acontecerá no próximo dia 28 de agosto – Vítor Pereira comandou o clube em 39 jogos, com aproveitamento bem equilibrado até aqui: 15 vitórias, 12 empates e 12 derrotas, o percentual de pontos conquistados é de 48,7%.

However, when it comes to the latter, it really boils down to how well a number of the club’s young talents have adapted to first-team football, from summer signings Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray to academy gem Mikey Moore.

The good news is that another batch of talented youngsters could make their competitive first-team debuts next season, including one academy star who might just be the club’s own Cole Palmer.

So, before getting to the player in question, it’s worth looking at a couple of other talented prospects who could finally make their competitive debut for the club next season, starting with Ashley Phillips.

The 19-year-old centre-back has spent the season on loan with Championship side Stoke City this year, and despite it being his first full campaign in the second tier, he’s been an essential member of the first team.

Across all competitions, the former Blackburn Rovers gem, whom Tony Mowbray said was “going to be a mega footballer” one day, has made 31 appearances for the Potters, and, most impressively, each one has been a start.

From defence to midfield now, and the next prospect who could play some games under Ange Postecoglou next season is Tyrese Hall.

The 19-year-old ace, who “has a really big future at Tottenham” according to Spurs expert John Wenham, has been enjoying a great season in the club’s U21 side this year.

In just 20 appearances, in which he’s played all over the place, the London-born dynamo has scored six goals and provided four assists, which comes out to an average of a goal involvement every other game.

On top of that, he’s now a part of the England U19 camp, but even so, he is not the most exciting player in the club’s academy; that title belongs to someone even younger, someone who could be the Lilywhites’ own Palmer.

He may be out of form at the moment, but Palmer is unquestionably one of the most exciting English talents around, and that’s what people could be saying about Luca Williams-Barnett in a few years.

The 16-year-old might still be a relative unknown to the wider footballing public, but he most certainly is not for those who follow academy football.

The incredible youngster, whom analyst Ben Mattinson described as “a name to keep an eye on,” has the potential to be the club’s version of the Chelsea ace for a few reasons.

The first is that, like the England international, he’s a lean-mean-goalscoring-machine.

In just 24 appearances for the U18s, totalling 1887 minutes, the unreal talent has scored 20 goals and provided ten assists.

In other words, he’s averaging 1.25 goal involvements every game, or one every 62.9 minutes, and while he’s still young, that is the sort of form that could force Postecoglou to hand him some first-team minutes next season.

The second reason he could become the club’s version of the former Manchester City prospect is that he, too, is positionally versatile.

For example, while his primary position is attacking midfield, he’s played in left-midfield, left and right-wing and even up top, which helps to explain Wenham’s description of him as a “cheat-code.”

Ultimately, Spurs might be having a terrible season this year, but the future is looking incredibly bright, and Williams-Barnett could make it even more so next season.

Além da renovação contratual com o Corinthians, Thomas renovou o seu vínculo com a CSR Sports, empresa que agencia a carreira do atleta.

Na renovação com o Corinthians, estiveram presentes o empresário César Soler e o pai do jogador, Daniel Fretes.

Natural de Buenos Aires, Thomas está no Brasil há mais de 10 anos. Ele atualmente tem 18.

Sobre o confronto diante dos santistas, Thomas Agustin entende a dificuldade, principalmente sendo em uma competição do tamanho do Estadual.

The result means the Lightning will return to Emirates Old Trafford next Friday, where they are now unbeaten in 21 home games, to host their quarter-final tie against Surrey.Northants struck two early blows as the hosts set off in pursuit of their target, Jos Buttler cracking a short ball from David Willey to Saif Zaib on the cover boundary for 11, immediately after he had hit the bowler for six and four from consecutive deliveries. A partida começou equilibrada, com a equipe mandante sabendo a receita para não deixar a classificação escapar. Até os 14 primeiros minutos, as gaúchas tentavam sair para o jogo, mas nenhuma jogada conseguia furar o bloqueio palmeirense.

وعن توقيت انطلاق المفاوضات، أوضح: “لا أملك تاريخًا محددًا لبداية التفاوض مع الزمالك، لكن النادي يبدي اهتمامًا كبيرًا بضم اللاعب”، في إشارة إلى جدية العرض المقدم من القلعة البيضاء.

+Corinthians e Flamengo na final da Copa do Brasil: confira os valores das premiações fase a fase até o título

O projeto, que disputou o Prêmio Cannes 2022, na França, já rendeu muitos frutos. Atletas do masculino (seis) e do feminino (cinco) foram aprovados para integrar as categorias de base do clube, além de oito participantes encaminhados para entrevistas de emprego com empresas parceiras.

A iniciativa foi dividida em três fases. Na primeira, os jovens foram avaliados pelas comissões do clube nas questões técnicas e físicas para a prática do esporte; na segunda, foram realizadas dinâmicas em grupo por uma equipe de psicólogos e profissionais de RH com foco na parte cognitiva e raciocínio lógico, traçando um perfil individual de cada jovem.

O presidente do clube, Felippe Cheide, enfatizou a importância do EC São Bernardo ter a preocupação não só com a questão dentro das quatro linhas.

– Além de clube de futebol profissional, o São Bernardo é um braço direito dos jovens e é importante que saibam que estamos aqui para ajudá-los na medida do possível a serem grandes pessoas, independentemente da profissão– afirmou.

Neste ano, o EC São Bernardo disputou a Série A3 do Campeonato Paulista.
